We’ve recently completed a bathroom transformation in Newcastle upon Tyne that perfectly captures what we love most about bespoke design. This project was all about creating a luxurious, spa-like space that feels calm, indulgent and beautifully put together, while still being practical for everyday use. Seeing the finished result, it’s safe to say this bathroom delivers on every level.
From the very beginning, the focus was on contrast, texture and warmth. The bold black marble flooring immediately sets the tone, grounding the space and giving it a striking, high-end feel. Against this darker base, brushed gold fixtures were introduced to add warmth and elegance, creating a balanced look that feels rich without being overpowering. Every element was carefully chosen to complement the next, ensuring the design flowed effortlessly throughout the room.
One of the standout features in this transformation is the statement marble vessel sink paired with a fluted floating vanity. This combination brings both visual impact and functionality. The bespoke walk-in shower adds another layer of refinement. Designed specifically for this bathroom, it offers both style and practicality, with clean lines and a spacious feel. The illuminated gold niches within the shower are a real game-changer, providing soft ambient lighting while also offering convenient storage. These details might seem small, but they make a huge difference to how the space feels and functions day to day.
Lighting played a key role throughout the project. The backlit LED mirror adds a soft glow that enhances the overall mood of the bathroom while also being highly practical. Combined with the illuminated niches and carefully positioned lighting, the result is a space that feels inviting at any time of day.
To complete the look, a sleek black radiator with matching gold accents was installed. It’s a functional feature that doesn’t compromise on style, tying together the darker tones of the flooring with the warmth of the gold finishes. It’s details like this that bring cohesion to the overall design.
